    How can I tell if my microphone is working?

    I just got a Turtle Beach headset and the only way I know of to test the microphone is to record a voice message and play it back. However, when I do this, I hear a high pitched frequency noise in the background of the voice message. I tested the microphone
    with my Samsung headphones and got the same result. Whenever I record a voice message and listen to it, there is a high pitched frequency-type noise in the background. Is there any other way to test if the microphone is working? How do I know if my headset
    is making these noises when playing online and talking to others? In party chat, my gamerpic doesn't light up unless I start talking, so I don't know if my headset is making the buzzing noise anywhere else besides through voice messages. I don't think it's
    a problem with the microphones because they both work perfectly fine on my PS4. How do I know if my microphone is working on Xbox?

    Can yall actually help solve the problem I havnt seen one solution on this website that actually helps I paid 40 bucks for dlcs for fallout 4 and its telling me I dont have it installed dont tell me to reset or uninstall and reinstall or tell me to switch
    my home or tell me to check if there installed on my account or at all tell me how to fix this problem

    Downloading Skyrim to HDD is a must.
