    How can I tell if an Xbox game will require Access to my email etc. before I buy it?


    When some games are started for the first time they require you to give them additional access to things like your email and friends list in order to play. If you say no, you can't play the game. This seems completely unnecessary to play an offline game
    and I refuse to allow this access. Since I don't want to spend money on games I can never play, it is pretty important to me to know if a game will ask this BEFORE I buy it.

    Prior to the recent changes in the Xbox store I could determine this because those games would say something like "This app requires access to your internet connection" under game information. Since the store display was changed I no longer know how to
    determine this prior to purchasing a game. Can anyone tell me where I can find this information now?

    some games on xbox require internet access to play. mostly multiplayer games. on ps4 its the same way for some games, if you read the back of the game case it will tell you if it needs xbox live or internet access to play before you buy it.

    Well the lady at Xbox did suggest that I set up a new email account and access xbox live through that. However, I'd need to buy the original points again, although i'll be able to share game content etc.

    I've set up my new account- registered at windows live. Do I have to repurchase xbox live membership or can i use my original? If so, how?

    There are a few ways to tell. First is manufacture date. Second is wattage of the power supply. Third is the system amperage.

    Here is how it breaks down.

    Hi,

    been having this problem recently and need some help. seems likes it's pretty similar to me.

    My membership says that I have Xbox live gold but every time I try to play online or use a feature that requires Xbox live gold it says, I need to buy an Xbox live gold membership to access this feature.

    I have multiple emails notifying me of renewals and cancellations after I had tried to renew, not sure if it's some sorta glitch loop that's gonna add charges to me.

    Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem.
