How can I TAKE MY DEBIT CARD OFF XBOX

I had brought DLC for a game. Specifically the ice borne dlc for monster hunter or rather I preordered it. After it downloaded, I went to take my card off and it says that they can't do it right now. Last time I left my card on xbox, they charged numerous
things from it and I winded up losing 3 weeks worth of pay and now when I try and remove it, they wont let me. Someone please help. I'll shut down my entire XBL account if I have to.

Thank you for replying back! When it comes to pre-orders, if you are using a debit or credit card to pre-order the item in question, the card will have to stay on file until the payment has gone through. All pre-orders using a credit or debit card will
process 10 days prior to the release of the pre-order. However, if you want to get charged right away for the pre-order, you will have to use Microsoft Currency in order for that to happen.

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums! When it comes to pre-orders, you won't be able to remove the card that's associated with the pre-order until the payment has been processed. Typically for pre-orders you will be charged, if you only use a credit
or debit card, 10 days prior to the release of the pre-order. At this time, you won't be able to remove the card until the payment has been processed or you cancel the pre-order.

You should be able to remove the card now since you cancel your preorder. If you have a card link to a preorder you sometimes run into that issue your having. If you still want to remove the card ad can't>>I recommend requesting a call back from customer

Hello!! And thank you for your response. So just to clarify. If I ever preorder something and want to take my card off, I will have to wait till said thing has come out first before i can remove it?

Well whenever you buy any kind of sub like game oass or xbox live off the xbox it always defaults to auto renewal so every time you buy one of those you gotta go to the .com site and remove the auto renew feature and once any preorders have been fulfiled
you can then remove your card if you wish not to own that game anymore than you gotta request a refund for item so your card is no longer tied to the game
