How can I stop my Xbox from turning off if my tv gets turned off?

I am very sorry for the problem you are experiencing, you may have activated control over other devices, if so, follow the steps below:

Xbox Series

This feature can be turned on and off through the TV & A/V Power Options settings screen. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Display & TV options > TV & A/V power options.

If I am playing music from the native XBOX Groove app, the music will keep playing to my stereo even if I turn my TV off.

But not so if I am streaming the music from Apple TV into XBOX HDMI in. Music stops when TV goes off.

Go to System Settings, Console Settings, Startup and Shutdown and make sure that you don't have Auto-Off enabled.



Also check your TV settings. Many sets have an option to turn off devices connected via HDMI when the TV itself is turned off. Your television may also have this option.

If you are using HDMI, the xbox restarts if you turn off your screen or change the channel.

Thanks for the replies, but none of them have worked. My Xbox doesn't exactly lose power, I think it goes into some sort of sleep. The power button is lit, but when I turn my console back on, like I said, it just restarts.
