    How can I speak to an advisor about my Microsoft account


    I'm trying to contact Microsoft about my account. I can't sign in because my email address and phone number for two-step verification has changed. I do not have the authentication app setup.

    I have tried to call but I keep getting directed to Xbox support without being able to talk to an advisor. I'm just being made to jump through hoops just to make changes to my account. This is extremely frustrating.

    Hello BobH_237, if your account has been hacked and you have already tried the form but have not been able to recover it, you should contact Xbox Customer Service via chat and request an ATO (Account Takeover), this is because this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and procedures that Xbox Support has.

    In order to speak with support create a new Microsoft account so that you can log in and speak with them.

    However, ATO is a similar procedure to the online form, but done by a Microsoft agent, it will need as much information as possible for you to do the procedure.

    Here in the community we are independent consultants, so we do not have access to the same information and tools that support has.

    Each account recovery case is unique, and if you request the ATO, you must wait for a response from Microsoft's investigation department.
