How can i sign into mojang using my microsoft account?

You can't if you are not using the windows 10 edition

I have tried reaching out to them but they told me to contact microsoft. I guess this has been a fail.

Sorry your issues linking your account. Did you try and reach out to Mojang support? If not, here their link https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/329527-minecraft-log-in.
They will be able to assist you more what this issue.

Ive done it before but its not letting me do it again, ive tried signing in with my details, but it keeps saying wrong password or email. I tried do a password reset and typed in my email, but it wouldnt pop up. Ive looked for it in the spam and
trash category but it wasnt in there either. I would like to play as my account that i have used millions of times instead of making a new account on mojang. Please someome help me!

As you are having issues resetting your account password, you may be better to try and contact Mojang directly to see if they can help recover your account..
