How can I set it up so my son can play the games that I have downloaded onto the PC using...

My teen son just bought a new gaming PC. His Microsoft profile accurately reflects his age (under 18) and I have him set up as a family member both in my Microsoft profile and in the xbox one profile. The xbox live account is in my name (since he is too
young to subscribe himself) and I upgraded to xbox live ultimate in order to work with the xbox app on the PC. I have set his profile to filter content for a 17 year old, with no filters set for games/apps.

When I log into the PC under my profile and log into the xbox app, I can download and play games. When he logs into Windows 10 under his profile and runs the xbox app under his profile, he does not see the apps I have downloaded and he can not download
any apps himself (it just prompts him to buy an xbox live subscription but when he tries it tells him to go ask his parents).

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to set things up so that he can see and play games I have downloaded and/or so he can download games himself as part of the Ultimate subscription we have? Thanks,

    :)

How can I set it up so my son can play the games that I have downloaded onto the PC using an xbox live ultimate subscription?

A similar question was posted before and this was the solution:

"The microsoft store account must be logged into the account profile with the title ownership to download the title, and also set as one of the 10 active windows 10 devices. You can switch the signs in profile via the xbox app on the
PC and have another tag play the title."

So basically log into the Microsoft Store with your account, and the Xbox App with his account.

Let me know if this doesn't work! :)

Amount of downloads on PC + Xboxes

you can have one xbox as home, anyone on that console can play the game, you can then sign in on another console and play the game.

pc, i have found if i buy the game i can download it on my machine, and my 2 sons pc's and my daughters pc and they can play as i can install the game on upto 10 pc's (most of the time), this does not apply to gamepass games. some games throw up a licence issue, sea of thieves does this, if i play at the same time as my son it will kick us both out (this only happens on 2 titles i have though).

We can't join Minecraft Realm on XBox but can on other Platforms

My son and I have been playing Minecraft on iPad and Android tablet for a while now and have a Realm set up so that we can play with our friends online. We have had zero access issues getting onto the Realm.

We have just bought an Xbox One Console, installed Minecraft but neither of us can get onto Realms.

    We get this message:

"You cannot play on Realms because of how you Microsoft Account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy and online safety settings on aka.ms/accountsettings"

My sons Microsoft account is an adult account.

My Microsoft account is an adult account.

We have our privacy and online safety settings set to allow multiplayer gaming and joining clubs which is what is recommended to get onto Realms. We've had no issue on the iPad or on the Android tablet.

We've checked all our setting over and over again via PC login into our Microsoft/Xbox accounts and these setting mirror the settings we see when we check our privacy and online safety setting on the Xbox console.

I re-iterate - allow multiplayer gaming and joining clubs - both required for Minecraft Realms.

    What is restricting our access?

    How do we resolve this?

    It's infuriating!

N.B. Our accounts are totally separate - we don't use the Family settings and don't have a Family group set up. Just adding this to avoid people suggesting we need to change settings within Family settings as this is NOT set up.

Buying a 2nd Xbox (Digitial version)

    thank you SO much.

So son A will login to the new console and set it as "home" and then he can download the games for Son B onto the new console.

Once he has done the above, can he then return to his "original" console and play all the games he wants to, and Son B can login to the new console with his microsoft profile and also play the games AT THE SAME TIME? If they want to?

Thanks for your patience with me. I must seem like a dinosaur. Ha ha

    Fc24 game share

Thank you so much for your help. So just to clarify when I set up the new xbox with the digital download I can also use it on the other xbox one and they both have the game but can play and create teams completely separately?

They have 2 separate Microsoft accounts so when I log in qith the game I can then log back out and the game will still be there when my son logs back in on his account??
