If it's still under warranty, you can create a Service Order for it by following the steps below;

1. Sign in to account.microsoft.com/devices.

2. Locate the device that needs service > click on Show details > select Start order.

Once you submit your Service Order, you'll receive a shipping label together with the instruction email on how you're going to send your device. You should receive it within 24-48 hours so please keep an eye on your email inbox, junk, or spam filters.

I have the exact same problem. Im never buying another elite controller again. I had series 1 which broke and had to return, and now this on my series 2. Microsoft will never learn how to make reliable controller

Hi Jodi, yes. They’re controller protectors on the market.
So, in your case I think that the best option is get a controller protector

About the Elite 2 controller grip… to be honest I don’t know how to compare it (but it’s something like soft rubber)
You can purchase it if you want, and if the texture doesn’t work for you. You can return it

the only thing you can do is contact microsoft and submit a form to get a replacement. even if you didn't buy a warranty it should come with a 3 month warranty by default. although I've returned 8 elite 2 controllers since December so if you can get a refund
then I'd recommend that.

I have both an elite 1 and elite 2. I am one of the few people who has not had a problem with the elite 2 controller. They will back you for 90 days. If you buy through a retailer you can return it to them because from what I am reading is that some
of them are broken from the moment they take it home.
