    how can i reset my password for my outlook account?


    hello i've got a situation with my microsoft account. i requested to reset my password for my outlook account but it was denied because i have authenticator enabled. i just want to turn off change my password every 72 days and reset password so i can access my outlook again any help would really help thanks

    So I did do that. I reset my password and I’m still unable to log in unfortunately. I can get into my Microsoft outlook account but that it all. I cannot log into my Xbox account on my console or the mobile app.

    Two different accounts permanently "locked for suspicious activity" without ever being used

    What constitutes as an "alternate email address" because when I created my Outlook accounts they were registered under gmail accounts as backups, which I could use to reset passwords, etc. Did I need a secondary gmail on top of the primary to have the Outlook account considered "backed up"?

    So despite the account being in my Microsoft family account there's no way to send a reset link to my personal account? I guess Microsoft would rather people just waste email addresses? I do like how seriously they take security but for that form to be the ONLY way to reset a password is absolutely ridiculous. I suppose ill make a new outlook account and a new Xbox account and cut my losses but I seriously think Microsoft needs to have more than one way to reset passwords, especially when the accounts are apart of a family group.

    Anyways thanks for your reply but no, that form is useless at this point.
