How can I purchase xbox one black friday games for my son's xbox one (xmas present)?

I am trying to find a way to purchase some xbox live black friday sale games for my son. I bought him an xbox one through the microsoft store (which I have not received yet).....And I wanted to buy him some things like the Titanfall Deluxe Edition OR the
season pass , and a couple of other things (including Chariot - Games with Gold FREE...which he DOES have his own Gold Account)...... HOWEVER I cannot figure out how to do so!

I tried though xbox.com ....but when I sign into his account to purchase them it says "Child accounts cannot download"

I have his account on MY xbox one right now ....and the Black Friday tile is not visible for him NOR can I successfully search/find Titanfall when signed in his account....but it is there when I am on mine)

Is there any way to do this so I can take advantage of the Black Friday deals since I won't be receiving HIS xbox one until AFTER this weekend when the sales are over

Looks like the Xbox One I'm buying on Black Friday for my nephews' Xmas present will be counted in next year's numbers, then.

 

Anyone own the White Console?

picking my son's up tomorrow secret xmas present, now do I swap it with my black one and re-skin the black one or give him the white one, he won't be playing the game anyway due to being 6. :devil:

 

Sorry to hear it. However, there are a couple of things you can do here.

1. Log into this link with the parental account then click on your son's gamertag and change the purchasing options for the account.

account.xbox.com/.../Settings

2. Purchase the items with your gamertag and set the new console as your Home console so that your son can play the games without needing to have your gamertag signed in.

As for option #1- Funny thing is.....for XBOX ONE it is set to Purchase ANYTHING. There are no restrictions. And even funnier, or NOT SO funnier to my bank account...his 360 settings have him UNABLE to purchase anything ...YET he has been doing it from
time to time purchasing add ons and games he SHOULDNT BE (Walking Dead for example) and it is letting him! Yet, now that I AM trying to buy him something LEGITIMATELY....I CANT. NO LESS, it is not letting me get him a FREE game. STUPID. So I am not sure
what I am to do..I did change the option in the 360 as well, but I am still not able to see titanfall when searching on the xbox one

As for option#2: Making the NEW console my HOME console...isnt that going to mess the past games I bought for him and my daughter on MY console? And is that going to affect the xbox live FAMILY situation?? ( I let me daughter use mine so they can both
play different games at the same time if they want. HE has a GOLD account, SHE doesnt)
