How can I prevent controller from auto turning off after 15 minutes?

Sadly the console or controller has no function that turns off or increases the time the controller can remain on.

Please help me understand some more. The mouse and keyboard are connected to the Xbox 1(?) controller via? Bluetooth? Cable? I am a little confused because most connections of a keyboard are straight to the Xbox, even if attached to a controller.

The Xbox controller does not turn off if powered up via the mini (back end) usb port. This is my solution.

The Xbox controller will stay on in private chat. Why not in party chat? I don't have a clue.

Lastly, if you have your controller at all connected to your Windows PC, Windows well shut the controller down in an odd debug state to save power. Try, disabling this option and checking if this solves
the problem.

1. Launch the Run application (press Windows + R button). Type in “devmgmt.msc”. This will launch your computer’s device manager and all the devices connected to your computer will be listed here. Ensure that you have connected your
   Xbox One controller prior to following this step so it shows up among the list of devices.
2. Now locate your Xbox One controller (if will most probably be in Xbox adapter windows). Once you locate it, right click on it and click on Properties.
3. Once in the Properties, select the tab of Power Management. Here you will see two tick boxes. The first one will say “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”. Make sure that the option is unchecked.

if it is happening while the console is setting there updating a game and you have set the controller down, that is just normal. You can avoid it shutting off by pressing a button or two or moving around the joystick. If it is happening while you are
playing a game, that is another issue, sounds like you would maybe need to update your controller or there is a issue with it that you might need to get fixed.
