How can I pay or cancel my subscription when it only sends me to customer support when I try?

When I go to cancel my subscription it tells me that I must contact support to do so. When I go to contact support all I get is this virtual agent that does nothing to help me and only sends me in circles. I have not requested a refund as there is no clear
way to do this. I need my money back desperately so any other help is appreciated.

Basically you have 2 options.

1. pay the over due amount then

cancel the subscription.

2. contact
customer support and see if they can cancel it without you having to pay the over due amount.

Ok, as of now I am convinced that you will gladly rip me of, because it was written so. I do realise how subscription works, but I did not realise, that you will not allow me to cancel it. I know that no subscription model pays you to keep paying them, how

May I get any advice how to cancel this, because I cannot call the MS, is my only option to remove my account, or credit card from the Papal page and leave you trying to charge a non-existent account ???

Microsoft/Xbox advertises that you can cancel your Xbox Game Pass subscription at any time, however, the UI of this subscription does not actually support this. I have spoken to multiple support reps and all have informed me that the only way to cancel this
subscription would be to re-enable a payment, pay the current month, then cancel. The fact that there is no customer-facing UI and support is not given tools to do this leaves the customer to contact their credit card company to prevent being charged.
I understand Microsoft is not Apple or Google,
but Spotify and other smaller companies allow online subscription mgmt, why Microsoft cannot have parity here is baffling. I would love to see a Microsoft leader step up and answer the logic behind
this UI design and business practice.

All you need is a button that says, "Cancel Subscription", and since this button is non-existent, it begs the question, why is Microsoft so afraid of letting customers managing their accounts?

I cannot understand how you think microsoft is not like apple or google when the company is worth more than google and not very far behind apple. Microsoft has a market cap of 1.5 Trillion for starters.

Also when you sub it states auto renew is on, you can disable auto renew under accounts and subs, i know this as i have done this, also you can login to your microsoft account online and do this there. to avoid unwanted charges then disable auto renew.
