    How can I move my gamertag to an other live ID?


    I have buyed a Xbox One S with an installed live ID account and gamertag. There are some games on the gamertag which I want to use with my own live ID.

    So I want a description what I have to do für moving the gamertag from one to an other account.

    I know it is possible with a Xbox 360 but what is with a Xbox One S?

    I want to move a gamertag to a new Live ID but it's already got one - help!!

    Hi. When I created this Live ID it was assigned the gamertag 'AgateJam0640'. I want to use my current gamertag which is 'Forcefield619' but I can't move it because it's saying the live ID already has a gamertag. How do I remove 'AgateJam0640' so I can
    assign 'Forcefield619'?

    Since you're not the actual owner of the other account, it would be best for you not to use it and to delete it. If that account has the console set as its Home console you can still access the games from your account, but nothing can be transferred between
    accounts and ownership of the games cannot be transferred to you.

    Transferring gamertag to a different Live ID

    If you just want to swap Live IDs, there's no need to pay to change gamertags. Use a 3rd Live ID to park one of the gamertags on; move the other gamertag to the freed-up Live ID; then move the first gamertag to the now-free Live ID, and the 3rd Live
    ID is no longer associate with any gamertag.

    Unfortunately, there's a 30-day wait between Live ID changes, so you can't do this all at once.

    to be able to move the gamertag on your email account to his windows live id, you will first need to remove the 'other' gamertag on his live id (Microsoft Account).

    This link describes on how to move a xbox live account, from one email (Microsoft Account) to another, it also contains steps when there is already a dofferent xbox live account present:

    In short:

    1. Download the 'other' gamertagto the console

    2. Wait 30 days (A profile needs to be at least 30 days on a console, before it can be moved)

    3. Move the 'other' gamertag (xbox live account) to a different Microsoft Account (email). This will free up his windows live id (Microsoft account)

    4. Move the xbox live account on your email (MIcrosoft Account), to his live id (MIcrosoft Account)

    Thanks - I've looked at that article but it only tells me how to change the Windows Live ID associated with the gamertag. This would mean my Windows Live ID is associated with my son's gamertag instead of his own Windows Live ID.

    What I really need to do is transfer the Windows Live subscription over to my Windows Live ID / XBOX gamertag.

    Can someone tell me how to do this please?
