    How can I migrate my Xbox-One GTA character to the Series S/X edition?


    I’ve recently attempted to migrate my Xbox-One GTA profile to the newer version of the game (Series S/X version) and in the process I was able to unlink and relink my account successfully but then ran into an error. After “completing” the process, I was sent into GTA Online and had to create a character that was a level 1? After creating a character I attempted to maybe switch between characters but then saw that my migrated account character was no longer there. It would appear that my old character was somehow deleted and I’m 100% sure that I wasn’t given an option to either keep it or rewrite that character to start fresh again. I would like my character back if any way possible.

    Firstly, I don't play GTAV so I may be wrong here (I just did a quick search) but, based on what is on the Xbox buy page, I would be surprised if you could go back to the old version:

    "Continue your journey on Xbox Series X|S and transfer both GTAV Story Mode progress and GTA Online characters and progression to Xbox Series X|S with a one-time migration."

    Found this on a 3rd party article:

    "Note that the profile migration cannot be undone or repeated. Moving your GTA profile from PS4 or Xbox One to a PS5 or Xbox Series X will remove any data from the PS4 or Xbox One."

    I started with Xbox enhanced GTA online but want my Xbox one content transferred over to enhanced. Will I have to start over?

    Yes, it is possible to transfer your GTA Online progress from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S Enhanced, but not between different platforms (such as PC). You will need to start the process in GTA Online Enhanced, via the Pause Menu, and choose the profile you wish to migrate.

    Process details:

    Migration within the same platform:

    The migration is done within the Xbox family, i.e. from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

    Start the process:

    The migration must be initiated in GTA Online Enhanced (on Xbox Series X|S).

    Pause Menu:

    Access the Pause Menu in-game and follow the instructions to migrate your profile.

    Choose profile:

    You will need to choose which GTA Online character you wish to migrate to the Enhanced version.

    One-time migration:

    The migration is one-time and irreversible.

    Legacy progress:

    Your character progress in GTA Online Legacy (Xbox One) will remain there, but the migration is one-time and irrevocable.

    Separate Accounts:

    If you try to migrate to a different console (e.g. PS4 to Xbox), you will have two separate profiles.

    Linking to Social Club Account:

    Make sure your PS and Xbox accounts are linked to the same Rockstar Social Club account.

    No Problem (Generally):

    As long as you have GTA Online Enhanced on your console, your accounts are linked correctly, and you have no illegitimate progress, there should be no issues with the migration.

    .So the one that say X|S on it isn't the premium edition it's the remastered version for Xbox Series S And X and if you are trying to migrate your character from the normal version to the new version.

    .First you need to be on a serious x or s xbox and then you can migrate but there is a couple things you need to know before you do...

    .If you're character has done some glitches or exploits like money glitches or rp exploits and things like that then you're most likely aren't going to be eligible to transfer progress to the next gen version of gta online and you'll probably have to make a new character.

    .But if you are actually just looking for the premium edition then you can find it here and it's on sale rn:
