How can I give access to Minecraft or move it to another user?

Hi,

I have installed Minecraft on my Windows 10 system a while ago, and my son by now has made worlds, we purchased it, purchased extra stuff, but recently made all different user accounts for all family members to keep things a bit more tidy. Now, I have no interest in this Minecraft game, so I would like to either grant permission for my son to keep using it on my user account, or transfer it.

I have tried just about everything I could find on the forums, but nothing works. For example, there doesn's seem to be a properties or security tab option when I right click the Minecraft icon. There is also no such setting in the app settings, I have even made my son administrator on his user account to see if that worked. I have searched for each and every Minecraft file or folder and shared permission with his account.. still no access... I have tried to install Minecraft from the Windows store in his account, but it asks for full purchase again, and I am pretty sure if I do that it will not contain all his hard work on the worlds he created.

There doesn't seem to be a solution. Please help.

Just a friendly reminder though that the only way for him to play the game is by using your account in playing the game or re-purchasing the game under his account because there is no option to transfer a game license from one account to another.

Hi, I checked using another account and it was there. I downloaded minecraft again but it was not in the user account I want. How do I move the game into another user account? I prefer not changing the account in microsoft store as it is quite difficult for me.

Press the guide button,go to storage,select cloud.

you can the move them to another device or delete the files

I think that in this case you just need to set the xbox as your home console so that you can share all the content you purchase with other people signin in on that console:

This way you'll use your account to do the shopping when needed for your children and have everything under control.
