How can I get a PS/2 joystick to work with the Xbox adaptive controller

I'm trying to get a joystick that uses a ps/2 connection to work on the adaptive controller. I bought a ps/2 to USB adapter but my joystick still doesn't work. I am not able to use a USB flight stick because I am not strong enough to operate it. Do
you guys have any idea how to make my ps/2 joystick work, or a recommendation for a USB joystick that is smaller and easier to use with my hand?

    :)

How can I get a PS/2 joystick to work with the Xbox adaptive controller

    Hey there Joseph,

Sorry to hear you have run into these problems with the Adaptive controller. Now although the Adaptive Controller is compatible
with a wide range of attachments, some attachments won't work with the controller.

If you do go on our website to the
    Xbox One Accessories
page, You will find a few joystick options that could work fine for you.

    I hope this helps.
I checked the Accessories page and I really didn't see anything I could use. I've looked in other websites but I still couldn't find anything. Thanks anyway.

    Xbox adaptive controller re-binding joysticks

From another thread I found a discussion about connecting various joysticks via an Arduino microcontroller to the Adaptive Controller.

The discussion is about getting the Arduino to be detected as a joystick in the first place, but maybe the discussion can lead you to a different direction on how to get your desired button input working.

    The
thread on getting the Arduino working on the Adaptive Controller is here

    Does anyone use.....

If all you wanted was the PS-styled analog stick, you could've done what I did - get a MLG Pro Circuit controller. It's similar to a regular Xbox 360 controller, but it has "parts" that are interchangeable, including the joysticks. It even comes with the
PS-styled joysticks you want. You can find it
    here
. It's great because when a part stops working or gets old (joystick, cord, d-pad, etc.), I can just replace that part for $10-15 without having to replace the entire controller, which would be about $50.

Adaptive thumb stick click not working.

I went into the accessories app but idk how to navigate to the section that will allow me to click the left thumb stick, then click the adaptive joystick so that the adaptive thumb stick will also function to click in, so I can run using only the adaptive
joystick. Idl what section/how to press the thumb stick on the controller, then press the adaptive thumb stick to copy the function. Can I get a step by step process of what to do once the accessories app opens?
