How can I fix not being able to add my phone number to my Microsoft account ?

Can you try this..

Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.

2)Remove phone number in Account aliases.

3)Add phone number to account.

When I follow those steps, the only choice I see for adding a phone number is under the alias section. There is no other way to add a phone number on my account.

And as I explained in my post, my phone number is shown as associated with the email used on my account. So I know it's not being used for another account.

As I have detailed many times above. I can get through the process you are describing and it tells me the account is recovered, then the final step, as it is logging in says the account is suspended and that I need to enter a phone number...

Just to play along for a minute... Even if I was able to recover all 5 accounts and my kids happily went off to play... When Microsoft suspends them next week, my phone number still won't work!

MY PHONE NUMBER BEING BANNED BY MICROSOFT IS THE ISSUE, NOT THE ACCOUNT SUSPENSIONS!!!!!!! (the latter is a different issue)

Hey Courtney I really hope we can fix this So my problem is that I can log in my account but when I try to add a phone number or do anything that requires a phone number verification it requires me to Add the Authenticator app code but I don’t have my of those and if I click another solution it says that it sanded a SMS to my phone number but I don’t have access to it anymore since I changed my phone number months ago and now I don’t have any options

Use a different browser, Sometimes problems with entering information can be browser-specific. Try using a different web browser to see if that resolves the issue.

Check your locale, Make sure your Microsoft account's locale matches your actual location. Some issues may occur if your location settings do not match where your phone number is coming from.
