    How can I fix my Xbox One Controller?


    My left bumper keeps pressing down even if I rest my finger on it. I have to keep my finger off of it otherwise it just keeps pressing down. Any ideas why it does this?

    How can I fix my controller?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a powercycle on your console by following the steps below:

    ​​​

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Unplug your console on the wall socket for 5 minutes.

    3. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work and you have other device where you can try to plug in the controller to test it out, that would be great.

    Thanks for reaching out and responding. We understand this is frustrating and want to try our best to help out. As mentioned by XBF Chris, check out this link here for troubleshooting steps :

    Troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller    . When you click on the blue hyperlink, it should take you to our controller troubleshooting page which will have some helpful tips on how to fix the controller.

    Another step you can take is trying a wired connection with the controller using a Micro USB cable. That will show if it still says the controller is having trouble staying connected. It shouldn't say it is dying at least. If it still says it is dying it
    could be that the controller may need a repair.

    For any device issues, I would recommend contacting Customer Support for
    further assistance or visit the Device Services and Repair Site.

    You may want to test out different batteries as well, in hopes that those batteries you have were dead on arrival.
