How can I fix my Minecraft audio?

My audio sounds grainy is is generally painful to listen to. I've made sure it isn't my headset because it works on my other games, Minecraft is the odd man out. I've tried a dozen or more things, resetting my pc, reinstalling Minecraft, updating drivers, all of it for nothing.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with Minecraft audio.

Apparently, only Minecraft has this issue. Some users have reported that using Razers surround sound 7.1 can interfere with the audio whether turned on or off. Apparently, removing it solves the problem.

If this is not the case for you, try the steps below:

Step 1

Windows 11:

Press Windows+i keys or open the Start Menu and click Settings > Accessibility > Audio > turn on the Mono Audio option.

Windows 10:

Press Windows+i keys or open the Start Menu and click Settings > Ease of Access > Audio > turn on the Mono Audio option.

Step 2

Open the Game Bar (Windows + G) and change The sound output from the surround sound speaker option to whatever your regular headphone output is.
