    How Can I fix Low Microphone Volume in Party


    I just recently bought a new headset (the general black Xbox headset with the adaptor). Even though it's brand new I always get the complaint from my friends in party that my "mic is too low". Now with my previous headset (I had the same exact one) people
    could hear my loud and clear, so I know its not my controller that is the issue. It must be some kind of issue with the software or something else because I know Xbox has many problems with their system since they want to be so exclusive. I have zero problems
    with mic volume on PS4. So any suggestions on how to fix this? I really need this to be fixed.

    Muted microphone symbol

    Some microphones should have a gobbledygoop with high and low volume if you do not have it can not speak but can only hear. Try to enable the audio through settings and configure it from there.

    Whenever this had happened to my its usually caused by someone else in the party having the headset volume too loud

    You're basically hearing your voice being picked up by their microphone because their headset volume it set high.

    To test this ask others to turn there volume all the way down and then you test your microphone.

    There is no option for this specific function, what you can do is control chat and game volume, but in general, the problem is that some use the microphone close to the mouth, others far away, some speak loud, low, there is no way control it.

    My headphone volume and microphone volume are fine. I don't believe the servers are down because two of my friends, who live in the same area as me, are in a party together. I will contact Xbox Support.
