How can I find my Xbox 360's region?

With regards to your question, have you somehow tried checking your account's region via https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/Settings/Home page?

If not yet, there is a settings there on the page where it says "Change Xbox 360 account region" or something similar to this. But take note! Once you change your region, it will take 3 months before you can change the region again.

Are you talking about a disk or a digital download

If a disk then you look at the back of the console above the plug it.will be pal or ntsc with either a letter or no letters after

That is hardwired and want be change if a download says it is not available in your region your account region MUST match your physical region and yes it goes by country

Are you playing on Xbox 360 or the Xbox One console? If you're playing on Xbox 360, I would ensure that your language and region settings match to allow French. If you're on Xbox One with backward compatibility, I suggest ensuring that your Xbox One console's
language, spoken language, and region settings are set to allow French languages in games. You can find settings for this under either 'How to change your country/region on Xbox One' or

It is an issue to find you x360 region settings unfortunately. I been through a LOT of 360's in my time and the easiest thing to do, is to test it with PAL, NTSC-J and NTSC-U/C Exclusive discs, to figure out the region.
