How can I download 360 Live Gold game on Xbox One?

My kid likes Lego Star Wars: TCS, and he saw at "Games with Gold" page on this month he can download this one. We sold 360, so can't download on it.

Is there any options to do this with Xbox One? Or need to buy for $20? Then why I can see it on my new device?

HELP: How to use XBOX LIVE in non-supported country?

I am new to XBOX. I got a used 360 a while ago. I have a few good games but i wanted to know:
How can i play online?
How can i download games from the store?
How can i have access to the Games from Gold?

I live in Cyprus, as far as i know not included in the XBOX Live countries.
What location/region do i need to set?
Can i use top-up cards?

You would download it from the store on your console or from xbox.com. If your kid has a child account, they won't be able to download it directly from their account without a 360. But the parent account shouldn't have any problems. You do need a payment
method on file in order to download 360 content, even if it is free.

I tried download with my parent account, but unfortunately Live Gold activated on my son's child account. So, it looks like I need to pay for download, 'cause I don't have Live. When switched to child account, it's free, but I can't download.

It seems to be too difficult for me, but I'm a programmer.

Yes but first you need to go to
www.xbox.com/.../games-with-gold and select “Download From Xbox Store” and then “Download To Xbox 360”. This will register the game to your account which will then show up on the ready to install list one your Xbox One.

Hello!

I have a Xbox 360 and a Xbox One S + Live With Gold, a time ago i got Halo 3 (Xbox 360) from Games With Gold. Today i try to install That game on my Xbox 360 but when i open that on Xbox 360 Game Search that show only "Rate" and "Comment" options, without
"Install Again" option. I can see the text "Xbox One Compatible" near game image.

Any idea to download that on Xbox 360?

I can download other games like Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition (from live gold sub).

I have a similar question as I am also trying to get LEGO Star Wars III.

My son is 17, has a regular Xbox Live Gold active subscription. Previously I was trying to download directly from the Xbox one console, which I now know is not possible. however....

I have signed into my browser, added an alternate payment method, removed all content restrictions from the "child" account, and verified the Xbox Live is active.

Once at the game detail page, it is listed as "free with gold" but the only option to select is "download to Xbox 306." still maybe clicking through will make it work. But instead I get the following message:

"Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox."

But the FAQ says I cannot download on the console! How maddening.

Is there something simple here that I am missing?

I'd appreciate any help. Today is the last day to get LEGO Star Wars III for free.

I'd be happy to provide some input.

So to understand what it is that is trying to be done is that you are trying to download the two free games with gold for Xbox One on an Xbox 360?

I believe the error may be related to the difference in the store and marketplace for Xbox One games and Xbox 360 games. It may be that you will need an Xbox One to download those free games to your account as you can download the 360 game with gold but
not the Xbox One games. Also the 360 is not capable of downloading games for the Xbox One so that's another reason why it's giving you the error because the game needs to download to be applied to the account. That may just be how it is set up by design.
