1. How can I defrag internal hard disk?

After download a game and delete it for download others games, and download again the first for play one more time... Making this several times, I fear the hard disk will be fragmented, wich may cause system load speed down...

External Hard Drive

I have a WD Elements 5TB external hard drive. Like a computer, I know it's essential to Defrag the hard drive for performance. My question is: is there a way to Defrag my external hard drive for my Xbox One? I am noticing a little bit of slow down,
especially load times on games.

How can I defrag internal hard disk?

There is no defrag utility on the 360 and generally it is not needed. You can clear the System Cache which clears up most issues (which does perform some hard drive maintenance). If you feel your hard drive has become fragmented to such a degree that it
is affecting performance and clearing the system cache does not help, then you can format your hard drive and reload your games, apps, and DLC. Make sure you backup all your game save files before doing this (on a USB drive) as the format will completely erase
the hard drive.

I did have to reformat my drive once when Oblivion was running very slow, but this was many years ago and the hard drive was one of the original 20GB models. I'd only use this as a last resort as it can be a pain to reload all your content again, especially
with the current hard drive sizes.

Did a bit more research into the subject, IceStorm is correct. Please discount my previous statement.

How to defrag the hard disk

Yes. Clearing the System Cache does this automatically, which can be accessed through Settings > Storage > press Y on your Hard Drive > Clear System Cache. if the option does not appear, you can press Y for device options under Settings > Storage, and press
X, X, LB, RB, X, X.
Is there a way to defrag the Xbox 360 hard disk?
No.
Sometimes, like for any other hdd, it must be done, I think.
You think incorrectly. The 360 does not store files in the manner that a PC does.[quote user="CHEATING

Defrag not working after June 2012 Update

Before the latest dashboard update, there was a simple way to defrag the hard disk: by turning on the console with the controller, and holding RB, RT and Y (soon after the controller is recognized during the intro logo).

Doing so, the console would restart before the dashboard appeared on screen, and the Hard Disk is defragged.

Now this method doesn't work anymore:

if you turn on the console with the controller, the Xbox 360 won't recognize the controller until the dashboard is fully loaded. The problem is that, since the console recognizes the controller so late, you can't do the defrag anymore.

I didn't find any other way to defrag the hard disk.
