How can I claim Games wtih Gold games I already downloaded via Game pass?

I already installed Metal Gear Solid 5 via Game Pass.

It is currently only "installed", not "owned".

If I want to "own" it, via Games with Gold, I have to pay $19.99.

I can get other games via Games with Gold without any problems, as long as I had not already downloaded them via Game Pass.

This may have also happened when I "claimed" Superhot when it was in Games with Gold.

I still have Superhot via Games with Gold, but I fear that when Superhot is no longer in Game Pass, I will no longer have access to it?

I deleted Superhot and re-downloaded it via Games with Gold at the time, but it is only "installed" and not "owned".

I do not want to do that again for Metal Gear Solid 5 if it will not fix the issue.

I hope downloading a game via Games Pass does not mean I can never own it if offered via "Games with Gold".

My console is in Preview Beta -- I do not know if that is part of the problem or not.

Uninstalling and reinstalling games from "Games with gold"

Hi everyone!

I downloaded almost all games from Games with Gold (GWG). I'm wondering if I uninstall some of them (free space available is not so much) can I download free again in the future the game I've already downloaded? If yes, how?

If I stop sharing Gold, what happens to my free games?

So, I live with my partner at the moment and though we both have well-tenured Gold accounts, we started sharing when we consolidated to one home console so we could both have access to each other's library.

At the moment, when I go in to claim my free Gold games each month, there is not an option for me to claim it if he has already done so--it just has the option to Play it, as though it has already been claimed and downloaded.

If we split up and stop sharing Gold at some point down the track, will I Iose all the free Gold games that I didn't get to click "claim" for myself?

I think you're referring to the Games with Gold games, not Game Pass games. There should be a tile on the 360 homepage for Gold that gives you the option to claim the One games there to download in the future. You can also try just claiming them from the website.

Your Gold membership will have been converted to Game Pass Core, so you shouldn't be any worse off.

Game Pass Core still gives you access to online play, weekly discounts/sales, access to past games you claimed via Games With Gold, plus it also gives you access to a catalogue of 36 games, kind of like a mini version of Game Pass.

Games With Gold has ended, so no new games will be offered via that, but any past games you claimed can still be played as long as you have either Game Pass Core or Ultimate.

Same problem here. First i tried claim the games with gold and didn't worked. Tried support via chat and they addded the game on my library. Then i tried buy one game with the Deals with Gold discount and not worked. Contacted support again today and they "made" the purchase for me with the respective discount and charged me only the promotional price of the game.

It's really annoying. The Live Gold subscription is not working about a month now. My case is still open with microsoft and i encourage everyone who is trying to buy games with discount to reach support via chat and request the game with the promotional price.

Update: I've contacted support again via chat and they cancelled my subscription and reactivate it. It's the second time they did this and now IT'S WORKING. The person at the chat told me that since yesterday, doing this method helped all te users so i recommend everyone with this problem to contact the suppor via chat.

Now i can buy the games with gold discount and claim the games with gold.

Update 2: I noticed that now the Game Pass discounts on games are not applying. The Live Gold discounts are working but the Game Pass discounts aren't. I still can play game pass games and play on the cloud, but the discounts are broken.

As described above, the Kombat Pass and Season Pass are two different things. The Kombat Pass is included with all new copies of the game and allows you to play
Mortal Kombat online via Xbox LIVE (provided you already have an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership).

The Season Pass allows you to download the 4 DLC characters for the price of 3, however once purchased you must download them via the option in-game.

Simple if you download it on games with gold it is signed as owned but if you download it via game pass it is there til removed from game pass.
