How can I activate the Xbox Game Pass subscription on Windows 10?

I have a code for subscription, but when I click Redeem Code - I get error: "Activate your code on Xbox".

I do not have an Xbox.

How can I use the Xbox Game Pass subscription, for playing games from the Xbox Play Anywhere collection on Windows? (Which are included in the Xbox Game Pass)

Free subscription to xbox live gold

Under my subcriptions,there is a free (i think) subscription that says "xbox live gold subscription to...". It is in grey,so i can't activate it. How can i activate it?

Normally, the code should be activated before you redeem it to your account. This is activated by the retailer if you purchased it from their retailer stores. For you to double check if the code is already activated, I recommend that you contact our
Xbox Support so that they could also guide you on how to redeem the code successfully to your account without needing an Xbox console. You may refer to this

Microsoft account website? We recommend making sure that

Do you have the right subscription plan? Because you can usa Game Pass PC or Game Pass Ultimate on a Windows 10 PC, but if you have only the Xbox Game Pass subscription, this plan is valid only for Xbox console.
