    How can developers create their own Avatar items?


    I was browsing the Avatar Store and noticed a lot of clothing looked custom made. Some of them featured avatars on them with Spanish, French, Japanese, etc lettering on them. It got me wondering how these seemingly custom made items made their way onto the
    store and if anyone can do it, or if Xbox is only allowing specific users to create items for the Avatar Store. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

    How can developers create their own Avatar items?

    Back on the xbox 360 developers would add avatar items as in game rewards or things like beating the game on a certain difficulty or doing a specific thing in a game etc. or some devs would release avatar items for free as promotional items.

    You'd also get "themed" items like Star Wars or different sports teams etc.

    I'm guessing it's the same on the xbox one but the majority of devs don't bother any more as avatars weren't really supported after the xbox one launched.

    Hi there!

    It's probably tied to their gamertags, and Microsoft allows those gamertags to have custom stuff. I'm not entirely sure tho

    Hello Hollified Ninja,

    Avatar items can be display on your personal Avatar on the Xbox One.

    Gamerpics, however, are not. You have to use one of the ones provided for you or create your own using your Avatar.

    Thanks for destroying Rare, Microsoft

    Rare the Developers of some obscure 1vs1 Fighter from the early 90's, the Developers of Golden Eye (N64), Conkers Bad Fur Day (N64 & Xbox) and now delegated to creating Avatars and other miscellaneous Xbox 360 Dashboard Items.
