    How are you soused to get the build number when day one update hangs at 74%


    There is no way to get the build number to do the offline update. Any one know a trick to display build at start up?

    YYou won't be removed tjll the next system update gives you a version number higher then the one you are on

    Insiders updates has build numbers higher then current official updates

    When the next update becomes public you get the next official build

    Initial Update Problem...

    I've seen other threads but i just wanted to start a fresh one to see if anyone could help with my specific problem.

    Suffering from hangs when downloading the initial update, most of the time at 10%, but then occasionally it will get to either 15% or 74%.

    Tried power cycling the xbox and all of my home network, just incase.

    Has anyone had any other success with getting past the hangs in downloading the update? Emergency offline update?

    Any help is appreciated thank you.

    Does not help as there is no scenario in the troubleshooter that will address this issue. Also I have not been able to find a way to get the build number it just sits there saying updating endlessly. I'm *** My girls will not be waking up to xbox tomorrow.
    Nice way to drop a lot of cash and ruin a Christmas.
