talked to a agent on xbox live support and told me to post in the enforcement team forum but doesnt let you post on the forum...anybody got any informastion on how to get intouch with these guys

 

Op stands for original post, I'm sorry but I'm also frustrated by all the people complaining about their first world problems when the Playstation Network and even the Wii U have been hit by the same attack causing them to all go offline.

Xbox live has been up and down for 3 days if you live in the USA you can get a text msg sent to your cellphone when Xbox live is up. What is being hit is the authentication signing server so once you get on you should be able to stay online even if the
sign in servers go back down but make sure to change you power settings not to go in stand by ever and don't turn your Xbox one off or you will be logged off. Atleast you have a chance to play online while Playstation users haver zero to nill of a chance.
Change the standby settings back when Xbox lI've is working 100%.

IV watched movies on Xbox live including the interview, you just need to make the effort to get online right when the servers are up momentarly, as I said before all gaming platforms are getting hit by DDOS attacks at the moment. The reason you never had
this problem on Xbox 360 because no group has targeted Xbox live with a DDOS attack this big ever, it's a relatively new form of hacking that anybody can do even a 8 year old with very little research. It's not new but what is new is the general public learning
how easy it is and are now playing with fire. These idiots will be caught, it's so easy to do its just Lizzard Squad was dumb enough to actually do the DDOS.

MOST of them live in the USA or a extradition country like the UK canada so they are all ***.

 

Thank you!! I appreciate the information greatly. When I originally posted I wasn't aware of any hack I could only assume it was just an issue with the platform. I get emails from Xbox about new games and that, why not communicate the bigger issue of the
hack to us? We watched the interview too, pretty funny.

 

I 100% agree, bot SONY and MICROSOFT should of immediately came out and explained it was a DDOS attack, but for whatever reason both companies just say we are aware of the issue. Usually the forums are crawling with XBOX Support but it seems they are all
in hiding. Before assuming it's just XBOX live offline just check Twitter or the ps4 psn status page which is similar to the Xbox live status page seen here.
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status if both are down at the same time it's 99% sure they are being both DDOSED Which is a denial of service Attack. Picture 100000 people in real
life trying to get through your front door, they would get clogged up, some may get in but most will be stuck. Xbox live isn't dow you can be lucky by just keep trying to sign in but it can take minutes/hours just the luck of the draw. I just wait for xbl
to be online and don't log off at all and I haven't been logged out. A DDOS Is when millions of fake connections hit the sign in server thus causing a clog at the doorway.

 

I don't have a twitter account and do not use our PS so I was only going off what I assumed it to be. Again, thanks. We were able to get online and I told him not to log off or he would be having to wait again to get on and we changed the standby settings
for the time being.

 

As long as the main Xbox live servers stay up the you should be fine. I have been online for1.5 days. I don't want to post the psn status page url case it's against Terms of Servicel but if you searc it on google it will pop up just make sure you click
the official Sony link. If live is ever down just tell your son to check if psn is down and if it is then it's another attack. I would expect the attack to continue up till New Years, but I have faith in Microsoft's surperior azure server farm, they have
the capability to spin up many servers to compensate for the DDOS thus the reason XBOX LIVE has been up at all while PSN has been offline. I have a feeling tomorrow or the next day are going to be back to normal or close to it but this is all speculation.
