How annoying, son cannot use my Live Gold subscription.....

I really do not know what else I can change to allow my son (11 years old) to use my xbox live gold on the xbox one. I am the owner and I have set the xbox one as 'home xbox'. I have also put all rights for me and my son 'open'. He can actually do everything.
And yet he still can not download free games, I can download them for free, but he has to buy them. Also he can not play fortnite when he is registered himself. He can play fortnite on my account, but not on his account.

How can I change / set this now? How can he use my Live Gold?

I am able to throw the xbox out of the window, but I think it should be something simple, but I do not see / know it.

Can you share an xbox 360 live gold subscription on an Xbox One?

My son has an Xbox 360 with a Gold Subscription I currently have a 360 with a silver subscription. I am upgrading to an Xbox one and was wondering how the Live subscriptions work. Will my son be able to use his Gold subscription on both machines. Also, will
it be possible for me to access Gold on my Xbox One without having to purchase a second subscription?

Problem With Live Account - Help Please

My son plays Xbox - I just buy the subscription although I have an Xbox profile. I bought the 12 month Gold Subscription for my son to use. His profile only shows a free Silver (?) subscription and under my Identity it shows the 12 month gold. I want him
to use it and not me! Also, even though it shows that I have a Gold subscription, my son tried to use my profile to "invite" some friends to play COD and he was not able to!

First, I want my son to use the subscription. Second, how come he was not able to invite others to play even though he was using my profile which has a Gold Live account?

I don't know much about Xbox other than paying for his subscription. Help please!!

 

He should be able to use your gold (play multiplayer and do party chat) as long as you have it set in his privacy and online safety that he can join parties and play multiplayer games.

What is happening when he tries to play a multiplayer game is it saying he needs to buy gold?

as far as the free games are you talking about the games with gold? If so only the account that has the gold subscription on it can get the games with gold not the accounts that they are sharing the gold with.

some games if an account are considered child accounts even if the settings are set to allow the child to play the publisher prevents them from being able to play the games this has nothing to do xbox or Microsoft that is a publishers decision.
