Do you think you could create an application that will migrate games that are installed on the internal hard drive to an external hard drive? I don't want to have to reinstall a game and re-download all the DLCs, and use up my bandwidth twice to download
something that I already have downloaded. My bandwidth is expensive enough as is.Thanks.

Depending on the total size of games that have already been installed it is possible that the consoles internal hard drive may already be full. Please see the

guide here about managing storage.

If the internal hard drive is full a compatible external hard drive can be used to expand the console memory. Details about adding an external hard drive is also detailed in the link I provided above.

Do other games launch ok ? Also is the game installed on the internal Xbox hard drive or an external hard drive.

You can already move games from the internal to the external drives. Go to your game tile, select manage game, then storage, and you can move it from your internal to your external drive. Also, if it's not set already you can have games install to the external
drive by default. See this link for more information.

If you have suggestions for features that are not no the One, go to this feedback site and submit your ideas there. If your idea is there, Up-Vote it. The more votes something gets the better chances
of MS adding the feature.

 

Thanks very much for that information. My son, who is the Xbox expert lol, told me there was no way to do this. I was surprised since it is such an important feature. It's nice to know there is a way to manage the storage. I am so impressed with everything
about our Xbox One!
