    How 4K updates work? Or need to rebuy games?


    Getting Xbox x. Trying to figure out how the 4K updates work. If it’s on the enhancement list- Do I need to wait for them to rerelease physical game disks with 4K uhd ect printed on cover and rebuy or will an old standard disk just get a downloadable update?

    this is a separate version, this a xbox one verison with 4k stuff and you can use a controller if you want. You will need to rebuy it

    Hardware or software?

    The passthrough only supports 1080p signals through HDMI.

    As far as I know, there has been no talks about any software updates to allow 4K passthrough.

    It's best to connect your 4K box directly to your TV or your 4K receiver.

    If it's an enhanced game, you'll receive an update. There's no need to buy another copy.

    If you're already working with support, you'll need to continue working with them for a replacement. Otherwise, if they refunded the game, you could just rebuy it.

    Yeah the game will recive an update with 4K and you need only config too in the xbox config that you want the 4K resolution

    I switched to the correct HDMI on my Game Monitor and that I can enable game mode.

    I dont think Fast Sync will work unless its hooked to a computer and I am using it as an Xbox Monitor only.

    According to Xbox not getting 4K still.

    I think because i didnt originally download the 4k version for Black Ops 4. Took disc out and put back in. HOW do I download 4k content now for Black ops 4?
    On the Xbox one X, the 4k content is a mandatory update when you first update the game. You should already have that 4k content.

    Please note that you'll need an HDMI 2.0 port on the monitor to do 4k at 60hz.
