Hours added to Solitaire events

I cannot finish all of the event challenges at one time, so I exit the event, go back to the main screen, then "x" out of the entire window. I then shut down my computer, and when I turn it on and go back to finish the event, 6 or 7 hours have been added
to my real time!!

I think some others are also having this problem, including Premium users like myself.

Is there a way to avoid this from happening other than spending 1 to 2 consecutive hours completing all of the challenges?
