Hotmail logging me into the wrong account on minecraft?

I have no clue what's happened. I want to start by saying I went to minecraft's support first and they told me it's a microsoft acc issue, so here I am.

I purchased the java version of the game from minecraft.net. I used the same email as I am using to make this post. For those unfamiliar with purchasing minecraft, they just have a page where there's a "buy now" button, but once you buy it that changes to "download now". The only reason I even have the minecraft launcher in the first place is because I downloaded it using this button AFTER I purchased it. My account name that showed in the top banner at the website was "actual", and I used this email to log into this account (I did not log in using the name "actual" - logging in using this email put me on the account "actual".)

I download the launcher and launch it using the microsoft store, which I am also signed in using this same email. The launcher opens and welcomes me using my name I think, but asks me to create a minecraft name. I go with , my usual name in games. It's taken, so I go with Actual, and that's taken as well. I never had to go to a third name so I just made it "Me" so I could play. I am then met with this:

As you can see it's asking me to buy minecraft! The money's gone from my bank account, and I've no purchase history or receipt. I only have two microsoft emails and neither of them have it. I've no idea where I made a wrong step. When I logged into minecraft.net using this email it now no longer said "Actual" in the banner, it said "Me". I went to the profile there and clicked "change account settings on microsoft.com" and when I click that it shows the correct email I thought I used! I tried changing my name to "Actual" through the microsoft name change process to double check if it really was taken, although I'm not even sure at this point if that part was a microsoft or minecraft problem. My current name on Minecraft.net is Actual4305. What I want to know is why is it when I'm signing in to minecraft through the launcher using THIS EMAIL it's logging me in to "Actual4305" instead of "Actual", which it did ORIGINALLY when I purchased the game. Where did my money go?

Looking at your screenshots and reviewing all the information provided we can confirm that "Me" is not the correct gamertag that was used for the creation of your new account, this is most importantly evident in your first screenshot as you are logged into a Microsoft account that does not own the game and this is why you are seeing the Demo only. We would ask that you please try to log into the launcher using any other Microsoft accounts you may have access to.

Since you do use a Microsoft account to log in to Minecraft you will need to go to Microsoft for assistance. They will be able to assist you with locating, deleting, or changing your account details such as your email address, password, and/or Gamertag. Please note that we at Minecraft Support are unable to access those account management systems.

We understand that you are trying to sign in and play Minecraft using Minecraft launcher. However, you encounter issue with the account and the license is not read. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

First and foremost, may we know if you have tried to sign into Mojang Studios Account with the credentials you used for the purchase of the Minecraft Java Edition? Is it showing Buy Now or Download Now? It is important that we know you have the correct credentials with the game you purchase. Otherwise, we will not be certain if you can still keep the same Minecraft name and save your purchases and achievements from Mojang. Reading what you have shared in here, it seems like you created a whole new account for Minecraft, so let us begin by tracking the account where the game is purchased.

Second step in here is to migrate the account to Microsoft. Have you tried migrating the account with Minecraft Java Edition to Microsoft Account? Third, you may try to sign out your account from Microsoft Store and Xbox apps. Try to launch Minecraft Launcher and check if you are signed into the account that has the license of the game. Next, you can now sign in back to Microsoft Store and Xbox apps after.

Fourth, you may check in here your Xbox Profile and see your gamer tag.

Migration was successful. Tried to log in to Minecraft, got message: "Invalid email or password"

Hm. Changed the hotmail password & used it to log in to hotmail again. Worked.

Used same new password to log in to Minecraft, failed again same message: "Invalid email or password".

I'm stumped.
