Discus and support Hotmail account deleted along with all of my xbox games in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; I made a Hotmail account somewhere between 2010-2014. don't remember exactly when.     I made a Hotmail account somewhere between 2010-2014. don't remember exactly when. I used this account to make my Xbox profile. I got my Xbox in 2014. I upgraded to the Xbox one X in 2017 and I was able to transfer this old Microsoft account on the new xbox. i never used the actual email address anymore (google became the superior email service) but of course i still needed it because it had all of my games and purchases on it. I started playing on PC and moved away from Xbox, and now a few years later I came back to it (2020). It was fine, until i recently had to factory reset my Xbox due to some OS corruption during a failed update. I try to sign into my account using the old Hotmail account and it is now telling me that my account doesn't exist, and was deleted. I am now furiously typing question hoping anyone else has had the same problem or can tell me what to do. hundreds and hundreds of dollars of games and DLCs just GONE. Not to mention the hours and hours and years i spent in games unlocking things and leveling up my profile on. How can I get all of it back? If i cant, can I get my money back somehow? this is just so wrong and i feel like i have just been robbed of years and years of time and money. I guess I should have got a PlayStation.

    Cant sign in

    I recently changed my primary email from a hotmail to a gmail account. I deleted the hotmail account but now Xbox will not let me sign into my xbox account. Can someone please help?

    error on "my account", can't access this anymore

    hi there,

    i change the passwords through the hotmail-account-login. it changed it also for the xbox-login, as accepted. i could sing in on the xbox as well as on the hotmail account.

    since the problem with the "my account"-error my amoung of points i made on the xbox while gaming isn't synching wiht the xbox-online-account. meaning, when i log in into live.xbox.com i see a different amount of points.

    and when i tried to enter my first way of paymen on the xbox, it shows the errer: wrong zip-code for your region.

    all those problems started as i used my hotmail-account on the xbox.

    is there a way to completely delete the xbox-account without beeing able to enter the "my account" page?

    Transfer my Xbox Live account to another email address.

    if the email address is a Microsoft email (eg; @Outlook, @Live, @Hotmail) then it is important that you do not remove it from the Xbox account after adding an alias and promoting that to the primary email.

    removing a Microsoft email address from an Xbox account permanently deletes the email account and it will no longer be accessible along with anything else that uses that email (eg; Office365)

    The second reply is your best solution to this. Get with her to have access to the account and then change the primary log in and delete the old.
    do not remove the old email as that will permanently close and delete the Hotmail account.

    if she is agreeable, get her to sign in on your Xbox with the account that has all the purchases and set it as her Home Xbox.

    this will give you access to the games and subscriptions you purchased on her account.

    she can then remove that account from your Xbox and you can play using your new Hotmail account.

    you will lose all gamerscore and achievements but you will still be able to play your games
