Hotmail account accidentally deleted. Can this be undone?

Hello. On the weekend my Hotmail account was deleted by mistake and I am trying to recover it. My husband was trying to change the email being used on my son’s Xbox. He didn’t understand that the Microsoft account was actually my hotmail account and thought they were two separate things. Unfortunately my husband’s email address was my security verify account and so he then verified the decision with his email account. I can’t find a way to undo this as my account now no longer exists. Is this fixable?

Hi Sarah!

I am sorry to inform you that it can no longer be undone. Once a Microsoft email address is removed from a Microsoft account, it will be deleted permanently and cannot be recreated.

I recently changed my primary email from a hotmail to a gmail account. I deleted the hotmail account but now Xbox will not let me sign into my xbox account. Can someone please help?

You can have multiple email addresses linked to your MS account that you can use to sign in. As long as you keep the Hotmail email on the account it will still be an active email that you can use and it will not be deleted once you remove it from the account
though it will be deleted and not be able to be used again. So just add the Gmail account as a second email and make it the primary email and leave the Hotmail email on the account also and you should be fine.
