Hotel wifi

How can I connect to a hotel wifi. I'm sure it needs to use a browser...but everytime I open Edge it errors out.

Generally hotel internet requires you to access the browser to accept their Terms and Conditions for use. I recommend reaching out to the hotel for help with connecting to your WiFi. Often times hotel WiFi isn't compatible with an Xbox console.

The internet service will have been given a name by the hotel so they can recognize it in amongst the other wifi services out there (sometimes the name can be hidden to prevent others from seeing it). Get the name of the wifi that the hotel supplies and
add it to the wifi connection list. Or another option would be to ask the hotel if you can connect it via ethernet cable to save yourself the trouble.

 

Hi Mortal. Scroll all the way left on the home page until it brings up the activity hub then select settings. I believe it's the second one from the bottom that is the little cog wheel. Select all setting then scroll to network then network setting and from
there you should be able to use wired or wireless. It should pick up the wireless signal if the hotel omitts a strong enough signal. Hope this helps.

 

I hate to trick it by giving the x1 the same mac address of my iphone

Connect using another device agree to the terms then connect ur x1 and select "alturnative mac address" enter the devices mac address that u sucessfully signed in on and it should work.

Another way is to teather ur x1 to ur phone then open edge then disconnect from ur phone and to the hotel and refresh the page.
