    Hot Xbox One


    When i play on my xbox one for a long time it gets really hot on the top and i was worried about it over heating and destroying my xbox so i went and bought a usb fan about the size of a fist and i have it blowing air on the right side vent. Is this okay
    to do?

    Just bought the new Xbox 1 Forza 6 bundle!

    That's crazy. My old Xbox 1 got hot and this new one definitely gets hot, I even asked the guy at the Microsoft store if an Xbox One getting hot is normal and he told me it is

    because it gets hot like a laptop desktop xbox 360 xbox one ps3 tv etc my laptop shutsdown if it gets hot because I use it in bed

    If its designed to stay cool why cant i keep my hand on top of the xbox without burning my hand?

    You have to be careful using third party fans, if the external fan makes the internal Xbox One fans spin faster than they are supposed to it could possibly damage it and causing more harm then when it's a bit warm. Alternatively when not spinning fast enough
    it could cause hot air to be trapped inside making the Xbox overheat faster

    Or get a xbox one nyko intercooler fan.. Unless that's what you have . Had one on my 360 and worked great.. My one does not get very hot tho, so haven't gotten one yet..
