    Host connecting into Minecraft Realms freezes or disconnects


    Hi Guys,

    I run a Mine Craft Realm with my daughters and a few friends.

    Since Saturday when I go to join our Realm it goes to connect then either Freezes or boots me out. Every one else connects into the Realm with no problems.

    I can use everything else apart from connecting into my own Realm. Even use the other servers that are available and ok.

    Goes to Building Terrain then boots me out??

    I use a PC with Xbox AP - never had a problem before until Saturday just gone. I have no connection problems and NAT is open.

    All help would be great as my daughters want me to pull my weight in the Realm lol

    Can someone help me to connect to a Minecraft Realm for Minecraft Pocket Edition?

    Heya!

    So we are sure we understand exactly what is going on are you having issues connecting to a Realm on the pocket edition only or on both versions?

    If you sign into your profile online and check your
    privacy settings     do you see any difference when setting everything to all or open?

    Have you followed the steps on the
    Minecraft guide for the Pocket edition?     You may also want to file a support ticket with them as suggested in the guide.

    How do you create a server in Miencraft Windows 10 edition?

    There are a couple of different options that you have. Depends on what version of Minecraft you're on (Bedrock, specific platform versions, Java, etc). But you can rent a realm, or set up a server.

    The benefit of a realm is that it's a third party hosting solution, so it'll be online even when you're not, and you can still control details about it, such as access lists and what not. Downside is there is a subscription cost associated with that.

    The benefit of a server is that you host it locally, and have further control over it. You can also look into other non-realm third party hosts for minecraft, that will host the server for you, and allow you certain controls for it, but those also have
    a cost associated to them to the third party host. The downside is that whatever computer is hosting the server would need to be online for users to connect to it. You'd still be paying for power and what not, but would not be a full subscription cost.

    I tried to connect again, (Ping: 16ms, Download: 17mbps, Upload: 9mbps) with no drop in wifi. This is a realm bought from Minecraft (so I presume it is running off their servers). When I tried to join, other people were in the realm at the time.

    Connecting to a friend's world normally works just fine (hosting or joining) but not realms.

    Is it a realm? Or a world hosted on someones console? If it's on the console, the Xbox would need to be left on and the world opened in Minecraft and running to allow others to access it. If it's a Realm, then that is a subscription and the user would
    have to continue to pay that cost to keep the Realm hosted and accessible. That person who owns the realm would be able to manage permissions for people who have access and who do not. Are you in contact with the owner of the world/realm?

    Were you joining a Realm or did you connect to a different player directly?
