Horrible screeching sound when updating games/apps

    Horrible screeching sound when updating games/apps


    My XBone makes this horrible screeching sound when updating any games or apps, on or off, it makes the sound. I have no idea what is causing it. Sometimes it only lasts a few seconds but sometimes it lasts until i pause the update or unplug the xbox.

    Distortioned Screech in my Man O War 7.1 headset

    So I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post in if so I hope a mod will help me and move it to the correct one.

    As the title says there is a horrible screeching noise that sounds distorted coming from my new headset. I've checked the headset on my PC and phone and have had no complications except when on my Xbox one. I've tried hard resetting my Xbox updating my controllers
    (2) yet the problem still persists. Any other suggestions?

    Screeching noise coming from console

    I recently bought an xbox one from a friend and there is a horrible screeching noise coming from it while I am not in a game. I happens when I am watching Netflix, youtube, or just sitting in the menu. This is a video of how mine sounds:. I have read online
    that Microsoft was replacing the consoles that were affected by this noise a while ago, but I just got my console and it isn't under warranty anymore according to the repair website. Is there anyway to repair it?

    bad sound

    I am having the same problem. My Xbox 360 (original) just downloaded the update. When it restarted the sound was terrible. There is now a load buzzing, screeching noise. I hope there is an explanation for this problem.

    I'm experiencing this same thing. At first it only occurred in game when a high pitched noise went off and then it would continue screeching long after the match was over. Now there's just a constant high pitched sound that my tv is sending off when I turn

    I would try deleting the installed game off the hard drive first. Then test the xbox to see if it reads ok from the disc. If it does, try to re install your game to the hd and see if you get the same noise. Do you know if the noise is coming from the disc
    drive or the hard drive. I have a 250gb slim console and have heard the disc drive make a screeching sound before. It happend while it was updating and a game was in the drive. It went throuhg the full update then tried to boot the game in the disc drive,
    it didnt boot up , I was stuck at a black screen and I could hear this awful screeching noise. I ended up powering the system off, and it re booted with no problem at all. Hope some of this info helps.
