  1. Horrible response time on Xbox 360 E

Hello fellow Xbox gamers. Awhile back I got a new shiny blue Xbox 360 E as a sweet Christmas gift, and I've been enjoying it ever since. But I recently decided to move it into my room and hook it up with my small 720p TV, and it didn't take me awhile to
regret it and move it back to my PC monitor. The reason was the response time I was getting on the TV. It was horrible, and the only game that was somewhat playable was Minecraft. However, I know it isn't the TV.

Bare with me here as this will be a long description. My TV as mentioned before supports up to 720p. Before I hooked up the Xbox 360 E to the TV, I had been using the white Xbox 360 model (the old ones, I only want the E model so I can have internet in my
room, and I will not buy an adapter). My TV supports HD but doesn't use HDMI cables, so I use the composite cable (the cable that is red white and yellow with the 3 other colors). When I use the white Xbox with those cables, the response time is good and is
    generally unnoticeable. Everything is playable.

Yet when I use the standard composite cables with the Xbox 360 E on that TV, as I said the response time is horrible. I know It can't be the TV as it works fine with the White Xbox 360 whether on 480p or 720p.

So basically to sum it up, the response time is bad on the E model yet good on the White model no matter what cables I use. Any ideas people? And once again, don't tell me I should just buy the adapter unless I really have to, because such an add-on at such
    a price just seems ridiculous.

    :)

  4. Horrible response time on Xbox 360 E

Hey there, hylianhero72! I'm very sorry about the delay in response, and to see that your console is having some display issues.

    It looks like
you posted back in December about a smell issue. Did you ever get your console repaired because of that? If not, at this time, I suggest getting a repair set up through our
Online Service Center. You had verified Onyx's response, but did not make a response after that, so I am unsure if you ever got that repair done or not.

If you did get it repaired, I suggest trying your console on a different TV. If that lag is still happening, please set up a repair using the site I linked to above. If the lag isn't happening, then it is likely the TV you are using, and there's a setting
on that TV set that is likely causing the issue with the Xbox 360 E itself. You will want to reach out to the TV manufacturer for further assistance on that.

    As I stated in
this thread, if you would like more immediate support, you are always more than welcome to reach out to us on Twitter
    @XboxSupport or by
    contacting us
via phone or chat support. Post back and let us know what ends up happening. If you need assistance with a new issue, please be sure to post up a new thread. Horrible response time on Xbox 360 E :)

  5. Hello there! Thanks for the reply (and sorry for my easy frustration). I never got any repairs on my console as I found that the smell issue disappeared quickly and that the overheating top is actually quite normal (most of my friends' Xboxes are similar).
Surprisingly my Xbox rarely ever crashes or freezes, and it works perfectly fine on my more modern 1080p PC monitor. I'll see what Sanyo has to say about this issue (they manufactured my mini TV), but It's more than likely one of those things you just can't
fix given there aren't energy saver modes or anything game mode related I have. Once again thanks for the reply (and sorry for the multiple posts, I'm new to the whole forum thing and didn't know bumping would help until earlier).

    xbox life

If you buy a new Xbox 360 console, particularly the E model still available, those should work well and last a long time. The older models had a more difficult time with longevity.

The launch console I had lasted me about 2 years until many errors occurred, and the following one still works though the disc drive doesn't always open and close responsively. I bought a 3rd Xbox 360 (the E model) last November and it's been great so far.

Hopefully the Xbox 360 you get will last you a long time.
