    Horrible Latency


    Hey,

    Been looking around to see what settings that could help with my lag issue.

    My xbox one is wired, I have the Billion 8900AX.

    While I have an "Open" NAT type, DL ~80Mbps, UL ~20Mbps, 0% packet loss... My Latency is still 200-250 ms :\

    It does mention "Your network is behind a cone NAT"

    Anyone have any advice on fixing the Latency?

    Horrible Latency Problems

    My Xbox One has a wireless connection to my internet router and i seem to be having lots of problems with my latency. I normally get 15Mbps download speed and around 1Mbps upload speed but then my latency is rocketing up to 200 or even higher. Is there any
    way i can fix the high latency or not.

    Why have dedicated servers

    No only that; the latency is horrible! 197-300 ms ping.

    People From Canada isn't much better lag fest!

    Hey CMD Prompt Fraz! Looking at the hardware you are using, are you using a 3G/4G connection or the DSL fallback through an ISP? You may also want to try a different cable to connect the Xbox. Post back and let me know!

    I'm on NBN with iinet, not 100% sure if it has a DSL fallback though.

    Thanks, I will try that out and see tomorrow.

    So tried some of the other cables in the house, this actually decreased my download speed and didn't do anything to the latency.
    I wondered if it was something to do with my cabling in the ceiling but I checked the connection on my PC through the same socket and had only 2ms of latency.

    Hey CMD Prompt Fraz! If you are using a 3G or 4G connection, that will be the reason for the higher latency. Post back and let me know!
