Horizontal lines on tv HDMI Question

Ok so been playing my 360 and have noticed horizontal lines in games like Diablo( pretty bad in the highlands) Skyrim etc when im spinning the camera around. Changed my tv as it was due anyway to 1080p one and changed an old HDMI cable to a new on I got
for about £8 but still getting the lines. My question is is there a big difference in HDMI cables from the cheapest to the most expensive(guy in currys was trying to flog me a way overpriced one) and could the problem be my hdmi cable or is my old elite 360
on his last legs.

Horizontal lines appearing on screen for a second once every few minutes

hi guys I’m having an issue with my new Xbox one x. There are horizontal lines appearing on the screen for a second once every minute or two. Don’t think it’s my tv as my Tv works fine when not using the Xbox/when I connect other devices through the same
hdmi cable

 

Flickering blue/green/purple horizontal lines?

I've started having an issue where occasional blue/green/purple horizontal lines will occasionally flicker across my screen. They flash very quickly and disappear, and seem to happen much more commonly while in menus. On rare occasion they have shown up
while watching video, or when I'm playing a game during a darker scene. I cannot for the life of me figure out what's going on. I did recently get a new TV, but when using a TV menu, the lines DO NOT appear on the TV menu, only the xbox input, which seems
to rule out it being the TV. I've tried:

• Replacing the HDMI cable
• Doing a hard reset
• Trying different HDMI ports on my TV

Not sure what else to do?

 

There's hardly any noticeable difference between a £2 cable from Asda & a £15 from Curry's.

Sounds to me like an issue with the console itself sorry to say.

 

well personally i always go fpr the gold plated with my hdmi and my optical cable mate in saying that my step daughter has a normal hdmi on her 360 & its working fine its just when i splashed out for the xb1 i had to buy the best lol

 

Only fools spend on expensive HDMI cables, the signal is digital so it either works or it doesn't. It's. It like analogue where better leads really can me a big difference.

 

yeah starting to think it my old console. looks like Ill have to treat myself to an xbox one cheers for your input lads
