    Horizon 2 Free Upgrade from xbox 360 to one not working


    So I bought Horizon 2 on xbox 360 two months ago because it clearly said I could upgrade to one for free after I get the console. Advanced Warfare upgraded no problem, but for Horizon they are asking me to buy one of the three bundles when I search it in
    the store, no free upgrade at all. How do I get my upgrade?

    Horizon 2 Free Upgrade from 360?

    So I bought Horizon 2 on 360 before I got my one 2 months ago. The advertisement stated how their was a free upgrade for the game to the Xbox One, but when I go search it on my One, it still asks me to buy one of the bundles. CoD Advanced Warfare did the
    free upgrade no problem, but not the same case for Horizon 2. Is their a problem, or did the advertisement on the 360 dashboard just lie?

    ...or you just read the dashboard wrong. As far as I know - there is no free upgrade to the Xbox One version. They are two totally separate games.

    Unfortunately that is not the case. There is no free upgrade to the Xbox One version for Forza Horizon 2. These types of deals are dependent on the publisher offering them; Activision has offered the free upgrades for its games Advanced Warfare and Destiny,
    but it is not the case for Forza Horizon 2.

    No. For some games the publishers will offer a free or discounted upgrade from the 360 version to the One version, but not all games offer that. It also does not work going from the One to the 360.

    The Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 is not backward compatible, so will not work on the Xbox One. If you want to play Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One, you will need to pay for the game again.

    Sorry but the Far Cry content cannot be upgraded to the Xbox One. If it's meant for the 360 then that is what it must be used for.

    However, if you have a digital copy of Destiny that was originally purchased on the 360 then you can upgrade to the Xbox One for free. The same goes for the DLC (releases tomorrow). If you purchase it on the 360 you get a free upgrade to the Xbox One version.

    The free upgrade for Destiny is only available until January 15.
