Hori steering wheel not recognized

I bought the Hori wheel for Xbox One because it's endorsed by Microsoft as an official Xbox One peripheral (at least that's how I understood it). It works okay with Forza, yay! Problem is, I don't like Forza, I bought the wheel to play Need For Speed Rivals
and any other future driving games I buy and NFS Rivals won't recognize it!

Not only that, when I go to Settings, Devices - only my wireless controller shows up. It's like the Hori wheel doesn't exist. Yet, start up Forza and it works fine?

I spoke to support on here earlier and they told me to try some things to reset the console but they didn't make any difference. What's the deal? At this stage I'm about ready to put the thing back in its box and return it to Amazon for a refund. Very irritated
that a peripheral Microsoft have endorsed doesn't even show up in settings!

Because you know....steering wheels aint cheap.

 

Hori EX2 Steering Wheel Connector

Hi,

I have a Hori EX2 steering wheel for xbox 360, and I've realised that I've lost the part of the cable from the circular connector to the usb slot on the console. Problem is, I have no idea what that connector is called and I can't find it on any of the documentation
for the wheel.

Does anyone know what the name of this connector is so I can purchase another one? For anyone that doesn't have the wheel, its a circular connector that looks sort of like a DIN cable but doesn't have pins sticking out, but has a single bar across the center,
and the cable has that on one end and a usb connector on the other end.

Ah, okay, I just found something! Apparently NFS Rivals doesn't support steering wheels on any platform! A racing game that doesn't support steering wheels? Genius!

Okay, I guess I'll hold onto the Hori wheel for a bit and see how it works on the next driving game I buy, which will NOT be from EA.

 

I have the same problem my Hori steering wheel works on forza 5 but not nfs the crew demo works but not sure to get the game , may as well just return it
