    Hello,

    So i recently did a reset on my Xbox 1. This led me to have to sign in to my account again. That is where the trouble started.

    1) I no longer remember the email I had used when i first set everything up 5-6 years ago. This was a quick make Email, that I used for nothing else but to have for an Xbox account. This also goes for the secondary email associated with the account for verification purposes. God only knows what that one was.

    2) The phone number associated with my account is from years ago, and I've had two other numbers in that span of time. I do not know what the old number was, and even if I did it would be useless as I do not have the phone anymore for the security verification process to even be possible.

    3) I have already limited out on attempts to do the account recovery form on the Microsoft website in a 24 hr. period. I will continue to try this every day, but I have a feeling that even though all the information i provide is correct- due to me being the owner of the account, that I will continue to be rejected on those recovery attempts.

    I have called tech support twice already, and they cannot help me because they do not have access to the information I need to get back into my account. I thought that they would be able to help me very quickly, but that is turning out to not be the case.

    I really don't know what to do, I have a ton of games on that account as well as a Live Membership. So just making a new account is really not acceptable.

    I know that somewhere at the Tech support place there has to be someone with an admin level high enough to access the info the regular tech guys can't. I mean there has to be right??

    Does anyone know what to do for this situation? I have tried everything that I possibly can up to this point, and I simply wont let them lock me out of an account with tons of games on it, as well as a recurring membership.

    Please- someone, anyone, give me further info on how to resolve this. It is extremely frustrating to be locked out after using an account for 5+ years, having tons of money into games that I bought over the years, and a recurring membership that I can't even use.

    due to security the helpline cannot do much unless you can completely verify the ownership of the account, as the account holder is responsible for there account and that they must make a note of the email used and keep security information updated i.e phone number there is not much they can do.

    nobody here can help either as nobody here has access to anything.

    Just an update, we EVENTUALLY regained access to the account by giving the old serial number of his xbox and going through the escalation team on 2 more occasion. Suffice to say he could not access his profile for around 2 weeks of the school holiday.

    Not very impressed with this one little bit.

    Looking on the MS forums at people with similar issues when their xbox live account get blocked they recommend the following to unlock your account email address:

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Click on this link. account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

    2. Click on the third option: I Think Someone Else is using my Windows Live ID.

    3. Select Reset your Password option.

    4. Enter the Microsoft account you are trying to recover.

    5. Enter the characters you see on the picture, and then tick on Next.

    6. Click on I can’t use any of these options.

    7. Re-enter the Microsoft account you are trying to recover. Under Where should we contact you?, Enter an email address that's different from the one you're trying to recover.

    8. Click on Next.

    If you passed, you'll get the reset link right away to your alternate email account entered on step #9. If the system needs further validation with the information you have provided on the questionnaire, it may take 24 hours.

    If you have already been through this process and its been longer than the 24 hours the I would recommend sending a tweet to @XboxSupport.

    You need to contact the customer support team directly, we cannot do that for you as it's against Microsoft's terms and conditions. If you have also forgot your password, try to think of any previous passwords, purchases, when the account was made as the
    more evidence you have that it is your account, the quicker they can sort things out
