Hopefully a baseball game is in the works?

Because, when the world series first started, there were no comparable leagues outside the US. Same with American football. Same with the NBA.

 

LOL at the soccer comment. Yes soccer is extremely popular around the world, but it isn't anything here. It's hilarious that soccer fans always want to bring up the World Cup, do you guys realize we were just rooting for our country? It's just like the olympics,
you root for your country no matter what event. Soccer is barely the 5th most popular sport in the U.S.

And about baseball bleeding ... I wouldn't say it's that extreme but yes it is slowly in a decline. However, it is still the 2nd most popular sport. People keep saying "well baseball video games don't sell" Look up MLB The Show, which is only made for Playstation
but still sells pretty damn well ... if there was a good game for Xbox like The Show it would sell a ton. MLB 2K was absolute garbage and anyone that's played baseball at a high level knows how unrealistic and terrible it is. That's why it didn't sell.

 

Actually, according to
ESPN and their statisticians, soccer is the 2nd most popular sport for kids 12-24 in America. That is prime video game playing territory. (MLB is 5th)

Also,
MLS is 3rd when it comes to average attendance for sports leagues in America. (Behind NFL & MLB)

Yes you are still crying about a baseball game not being on xbox one. I am as big as a baseball fan as the bext guy, but I have a firm grasp of reality and realize baseball games dont sell. Google MLB The Show sales and see for yourself. Im not against a
good baseball game coming to xbox one I am a realist and dont see why MS would waste valuable dollars. Good think ypu dont have a say on what games are released or everyone would be playing "real games"

 

I grew up in the inner city until I was 16 and I can tell you 100% that the only games we played were hoops and football (American style) Now I grew up in the 70's and 80's s so it might be different now.

I grew up in West Philly on near the Philly zoo.

When I moved to the burbs it was mostly baseball. I moved their in 89 or 90.

 

As an avid MLB The Show fan I don't want to settle for some trash EA/2K baseball game. If they attempt a baseball game it will take them years to even come close to what The Show is, and even then, they'll fail. 2K was failing when they produced one. I will
not settle for trash. I will take a year off from baseball gaming and rejoin in 2015 with a PS4 and The Show.

24hrs The show sells very well. I have no idea what sales you are looking at.

The fact of the matter is, X1 is garbage for sports games. The only good one is NBA 2k, and Fifa is ok though I don't like soccer. So the whole sports crowd either buys a PS4 or just doesn't buy any next gen console. Just saying.

 

Obviously you have never heard of google? Bing prehaps? Hell use Yahoo. You can find the information, you are just choosing not too. The show doesnt sell millions of units a year. It might get to a million. Thats not selling well.

Did you even read the article or nah? No sales numbers are given. Even the PS blog doesnt give concrete numbers just a 40% increase over last years first week sales. So let me be crystal clear, MLB the Show 14 for PS4 sold well. But other entries have not.

I still don't understand why EA would pour so much money into their Live series when they have an untapped baseball market on the XB consoles.

MVP2005 sold nearly 3M copies. That's more than what Madden sells.

Why try to slay 2K's Goliath when they can own the baseball market?

P.S. While MLB's national ratings aren't that strong, their regional interest has never been better.

The YES network sold 49% of it's shares for nearly 3.5 BILLION.

Dodgers just signed a 2B local TV deal and numerous teams see more than 2M fans go through the turnstiles every season.

The game has never been more popular. Time for EA to get back on the field and give the consumer MVP 15.
