LEGO Lord of the Rings game confirmed.

The Matrix is about as relevant nowadays as backwards baseball caps. Hopefully we'll never see a Lego adaptation.

 

New game announced for next gen systems

Hopefully they sell it in this country but I doubt it. I would welcome a new baseball game so I can make the Phils good again.

 

The RBI game is an old throw back to the good ol days of video game baseball..Its missing a whoile ton of the cool stuff offered with the "other" current gen game.

I do wish we had a "show" for the one though...I just watched some you tube vids and the game itself looks amazing!May even be the reason i have been looking for to get the "other" console..

The NBA has been dieing a slow death in recent years ,but everyone still knows who lebron, Michael ,and Kobe are by first name only..

March Madness and the Super Bowl will Always be the top viewed sports in the US year after year..

As for baseball ,well,the steroid era had a lot to do with its demise .

 

Completely agree with Feed The Machine. You cant compare the WC to anything as it comes around once every 4 years. America has a soccer league MLS and it isnt televised nationally so that proves how much Americans care about soccer.

As for baseball, steroids does have alot to do with the demise of its popularity.

Must have been interesting for Americans to watch a World Championship sport in which they were not the only participants.

But back on topic, if baseball games sell well, then one will be made.

 

Baseball is still popular and MLB The Show 14 for the PS4 is hands down the best baseball game ever. Also, it debuted at #3 in May going against MK8 and Watchdogs ... not bad. It was one of the reason I choose PS4. R.B.I. 2014 is a joke when compared to
this title.

 

Also, MLS is nationally televised. ESPN & NBC Sports Network share the venture. Next season, they have a new television contract which hopefully increases the profile of the league. One of their biggest "issues" have been maintaining a consistent schedule.
The games are broadcast at totally different times on different days of the week.

Anyway... back on topic -- A video game developer's #1 purpose for being in business is to make money. Baseball games don't seem like a good way to do that. The aging demographic that refers to it as "America's pastime" just doesn't purchase video games.
Couple that with the fact that the only country outside of the US that would be rampant for a baseball video game, Japan, already faces the issue that they would be releasing this on a console not named Sony.

DeathWishCoffee - 2K is officially done with MLB games, but technically they were done making good MLB games years ago. The last one I bought was 2K12 which had a great batter pitcher interface and horrible everything else.

World championships/series without other countries isnt the world, I've never understood how they can market it as such
