Any news on when the update will be fixed? Still no Live...

I would like to thank the representative that walked me through every possible troubleshooting tip yesterday to try and get me connected to Live. I have been without service since Thursday. Hopefully service will be returned soon, or rather connectivity
to live because some other people I know are able to connect just fine. Seems to be an isolated group of customers.

After reading many disgruntled posts, I would like others to know that I was given a free month of Gold for my troubles. I followed appropriate channels and was appreciative of their efforts.

Hope we're back on Live soon.

I chatted online with a support person for nearly an hour. He walked me through every possible troubleshooting method and then said, after putting me on hold to speak with supervisors I'm assuming, that the problem was on their end. I asked if there was
any compensation being offered. He responded with a free month of gold. The code was emailed to me. I had to confirm my account during the time he was helping me via email.

 

Looks like I'm back on Live!!! Updated successfully just a few moments ago, 9:30 eastern time.

Just in time for some Saturday night gaming, woot woot!

You know what I was told when I chatted them on the 5th? I was told to pay $90 for a system repair, for the update breaking my Xbox.

 

Well, it's exactly one week since the last update failed and now there's another update: FAILED.

No connection to live once again. Error code this time:

42fe - 0000 - 3080 - 0506 - 8007 - 2ee2

If it's out for three days again I'm seriously going to have to consider the waste of money in subscriptions through loss of services.

Again, hope it's back on soon.

 

Same problem here, I've even started a new installation thinking it might be a glitch on my console but I'm still being offered the elusive update! Not a happy man at all.

 

Ok, I have now succeeded in getting the update, the only thing I have done differently is to switch from wired to wireless! Go figure....

 

Just had this exact fault happen to me on two xbox's in the house.

And yet there doesnt seem to be an offical update out since 4 December?
