Hooked up Sunset Bundle but no sound coming from my receiver...

I've been trying all day to no success. Ive done all the steps that xbox support shows on their site and Ive tried w/ optical instead of HDMI and still nothing. Any suggestions? I get a picture but no sound as I have the xbox one connected to my AV receiver
w/ HDMI cable that came w/ the bundle.

No sound

Just got sunset overdrive bundle and not sure how to get sound to work? Have it hook to my Sony home theatre but all I get is picture no sound.

No sound and poor picture

There is no sound coming out of the TV and the picture is slightly fuzzier (like it's an improper resolution setting). Nothing, as far as I know, has changed from yesterday. It's hooked up to an HDTV that is displaying things properly from the coax. It's
hooked up via HDMI. Everything loads properly, it just looks a little off and there's no sound.

As a process of elimination, have you tried hooking up your Xbox one directly into your T.V. If it works then it might be a setting or something on your AV receiver.

Also, in the sound settings, I suggest you to use PCM in the ouput sound format as all audio receivers are able to process it.

Also, please make sure when using the Optical Cable that you try both DTS and Dolby Digital audio settings in the Audio Settings menu on your Xbox One. Under Optical, you will choose Bitstream Out, and then under that will be an option for the type of output.
The reason I suggest this is because on my Receiver, it is capable of receiving DTS and Dolby Digital both, but for some reason, only Dolby Digital is properly produced - DTS just results in silence. So, I imagine the settings vary from person to person, device
to device.

I am trying to get sound to come through my receiver speakers since my TV only has DVI connection and not HDMI. I have optical hooked up to to receiver to Xbox. In settings I have DVI checked and Stereo uncompressed.

Sorry to hear it. If you received a code from the Sunset Overdrive bundle then be sure to scratch the entire area of the card as both the code for the DLC and the game will be on the card.
