It has a Halo control scheme as well.

 

I had fun at first on the beta, once the novelty of using the mechs wore off I got bored pretty quick. To be fair though I struggle with MP games these days, as someone else said in the thread I'm just tired of all the FPS shooters out there.

Maybe I was expecting too much, not sure but from all what I read before playing it I wanted a game that felt different from countless others I've played before and in my opinion, take away the mechs and you were left with COD ( with a little Halo thrown
in ) in a more futuristic setting.

Don't get me wrong, I can see why loads will love it, these types of online games will no doubt always be popular to the majority, as I said though I'm looking for something that feels completely different, maybe I'll have a long wait? lol

i think this game is amazing.

 

I've played the last two nights for a total of about 4-5 hours roughly. The beta stress test has very limited content available with only two maps playable and a 14 or so stage tutorial. The tutorial was pretty standard but you quickly feel a little like
assassin's creed and Brink were borrowed from for gameplay (a good thing). As mentioned several times there are bots on the map, to me the feel right for what this is, if you had too many players on a map it would get far too chaotic having players jumping
and flying around all over the place. The bots make it feel more like a mission zone and you are a "special" soldier being called in to do damage to the other side. While the bots mostly don't present much of a thread other than as motion detectors, I have
run into a couple of team mates nearly getting their necks snapped by grunts and have been able to rescue them prior to this occurring so they can kill you. Spectres on the other hand do damage and are more difficult to kill, still not as tough as another
pilot so there are tiers.

Let me get more into my first hand experience. The first 5-6 levels were pretty vanilla and not super exciting. However after that it has been an unlock fest of all kinds, there are so many challenges and rewards to go after it is nearly endless. These vary
from mundane tasks like travel this distance on foot, travel this distance in titan etc... then there are the kill challenges which are a wide range of goals to go for. Makes for trying a variety of gameplay styles rewarding. I feel like there is some balancing
that needs to be done with some weapons but that is the case on every pvp game. I was planning on buying this before the beta and have been re-affirmed that is a good idea after playing it. It seems like this will have a more rewarding play experience for
someone like me than COD does. The leveling, challenges and burn cards show a lot of potential upside for this new IP and I look forward to the full release and DLC to come. I can see this spawning spin off titles of other genres also. The great detail on
the exterior of the maps is beautiful and really made me curious of what else is out there in this world.

 

Love it!! Have 16 hrs logged into the beta. Not tired of it yet, and this is only a small fraction of the complete version.

 

Having a good time! Worth the 10$ imo..... Don't know if they included anything in the patch or I'm just having that much fun with the new maps, but it feels so much smoother! Not seeing the drops in frame rate that I use too.... Happy, happy

 

I played the beta for so long and I never got tired of the two maps that they gave us. Now I'm still in love with this game. I play it very often with a couple buddies. So much fun!!!

 

It is awful as you probably know now.

 

Do not buy if your a a beginner as this game screams hardcore FPS only now. I'm lvl 46 or 47 and my titan can't even kill a G2 titan 9 out of 10 times as their damage is almost 10 to 1 of what you can do.

Hell, i'm starting to call out gamers in this forum for, IMO, cheating.

 

Love it!!! Over 300+ hours in 'n not even close to bored with it! Titanfall ftw!!!
